How much do you value Wedding Photography? Unless you plan on displaying your shoes and centerpieces at home, the only real memoir you will have is what your wedding photographer captures. As you might already know, there is a lot that goes into planning a wedding—finding the perfect venue, deciding on a date, what style […]
In 2019 I turned 30, and I can honestly say the memes are right. You know the ones that say turning 30 means you’ll start buying real plants… guilty! My mom gave me a tiny aloe vera one Mother’s Day, and that was the beginning. It has grown so much that I keep it outside! […]
Remember when podcasts were the talk of the town, and everyone started listening to them? Yeah, well, I was not one of them. It saddens me to admit that I just recently got into podcast shows, and I am hooked! I understand what the buzz was all about! It’s like binge-watching a Netflix show, but without the tv! Now, in no particular order, here are my top 5 favorite podcast shows.
Humor me for a bit. Grab your phone (assuming you’re not reading this on your phone) and open up your photos app. How many photos of your kids are there? Tons, right? How many of those would you frame or put up on the wall? Maybe not that many, but I can help with that! […]
Although I do take some posed family portraits, my main goal is to make it fun and exciting. At the same time, I capture those in-between moments that showcase their joy and love. AKA candid shots. I find that candid shots end up being the favorites most of the time. Also, they represent you! Your genuine, joyful, and happy self!
You had the wedding, opened the presents, went on a honeymoon and came back to reality. Then what? No matter what stage you’re in, engaged, newlywed, or 15 years into marriage, it’s essential to spend time with each other without other friends, kids, or coworkers. So here are our five favorite date nights that we […]
They arrived at their special place in Sabino Canyon. His hands kept reaching for hers while one of her hands kept reaching for her water bottle. Rob tried his best to set it aside, but she kept insisting on keeping it near her. He pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her. Reaching for his pocket, he revealed a red box. He got down on one knee and looked up at Andy and asked the one question she was thrilled to hear and responded, “of course!”
As you may (or may not) already know I recently attended Showit United and I can probably write an entire blog series about it, but first I wanted to share one of the wedding styled shoots I had the opportunity of attending. The moment I walked up to the styled shoot, I could not get […]
Do you remember the pure bliss of marriage following your wedding day? All the love, opening presents, smiling and enjoying the beginning of a new journey was at it’s highest. Fast forward a few years or even months and the feeling is not as potent anymore. You’re both busy with work, kids might be in the picture, and you’re too tired to even talk with one another at the end of the day. It doesn’t mean you are no longer in love, but you might miss the person you were dating before you got married.
I have been debating wether or not to share these random and somewhat embarrassing intricate things about me because let’s be honest, no one cares! At least it can feel that way sometimes, but to be honest I enjoy getting to know my clients before our first session. I ask a lot of questions and use tons of exclamation marks in messages, so I thought “Why not let YOU get to know me a little better?” I mean the worse thing that can happen is you laughing and remembering my chicken story every time you see a chicken. What’s my chicken story you ask? There’s only one way to find out!
This engagement session was so much fun! Mary and Richie are getting married next year down in Mexico, and even though I do not get to capture their beautiful day, I was so thrilled to photograph their engagement session this past weekend! Mary & Richy were so easy to work with. They laughed the entire time, and they were lovey-dovey and total troopers in over 100-degree weather. I also have to give a huge shoutout to my best friend/ hair and makeup artist, Vanessa Ruiz, from MyVanety! Mary’s hair and makeup were on point and needed zero touchups while editing.
A few weeks ago, I came across an Instagram story announcing a workshop. It was from a photographer I admire, in my state, and somewhat within my budget (a few Starbucks trips had to be sacrificed). The one and only Ryann Lindsey. If you are not familiar with her work, I truly recommend visiting her website and following her on Instagram when you get a chance.
I am a portrait and wedding photographer and I believe that love stories should be neverending. Growing up, I was always that girl the girl with a camera at every school field trip, birthday party, get together, etc. So you can imagine what MySpace looked like. If you are not familiar with MySpace congratulations! You are officially making me feel old!
